Owner Operator of a Komatsu PW98MR Mobile Excavator

I am an Owner Operator of a Komatsu PW98MR wheeled excavator based in Knottingley, West Yorkshire. The PW98MR has a 2 piece boom giving the machine extra reach whilst also being capable of working close up.The PW98MR also has a limited tail swing with a side overhang of just 150mm and a wheelbase of 2.1 metres.
With 4 wheel steering, the machine is ideal for work in small compact areas, for example, road works and construction sites small and large. there is a large selection of buckets, a clamshell grab bucket and an hydraulically operated breaker.

A new addition to the machine is a PowerTilt twin lock coupler, made by Geith, allowing me to to tilt the bucket upto 90 degrees left or right.

An incredibilly useful attachment for working on un-even ground, batters or backfilling.

I currently have a CSCS plant operator card and an EUSR gas safety passport card. And NCO level 1 (Gas)

I have spent the last 10 years working on the Gas Network in and around Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Yorkshire.

I have almost 30 years experience driving 180 and 360 Excavators and started Redash Plant Hire in 2008, initially hiring a machine until I bought my own JCB 3CXin March 2009. In January 2012 I traded the Machine in for a brand new JCB 3CX . This 3cx has now been superseded by the Komatsu PW98MR.
